It is all over for me this year…playoffs start this Sunday…My record is better than last year because last year I also lost the toilet bowl…this year I don’t even have to play in the toilet bowl.  As you can see my division – the law division didn’t do quite as well as the Order Division…I play Brad’s Bullies this week – although it doesn’t count for either of us but still that competitive edge.  I really need to win! He called me a helmet head when I came to work the other night…

Apparently snow is in our forecast this weekend…my weekend off…I will probably enjoy it.  I actually love a nice snowfall – it’s only when we have a nice snowfall and I’m sitting in front of a radio, computer screens wearing a headset that I get testy and dream of moving somewhere south…only to be able to bitch about the heat in the summer – not that the heat is any better in Iowa in the summer…but the corn loves it.

The City of Des Moines at its best-  Homeless

It’s cold outside – I’m very disappointed and disgusted with the city of Des Moines…after the first snow fall of the season, the powers-that-be have gone down along the river where the homeless live and have ordered that all shacks be removed and the homeless be forced into shelters…interviewed by reporters, all of the homeless down there say that they don’t want to live in shelters they are very happy with their community.  This arrangement has obviously been okay for many years and during the summer, but after the first snow fall of the season, the city gets a wild hair …..Many have used their talents to build nice small little shed type shelters to live in…apparently one of them caught fire and so the city thinks they need to intervene…and a judge agreed.  I think it is just total BS.  I have not heard anything on the other side of the story which changes my mind…so these people are helping themselves with things folks have donated to make a liveable situation out of an unliveable situation and government must intervene to keep them safe…safe from what…certainly not safe from the government…certainly not saving them from the elements…what the………………
