My replacements in the 911 center were announced today. I’m feeling that a giant weight as been lifted from my shoulders. When he and I decided on the date I would retire, I knew there was going to be a lot of angst in the workplace. Not because I’m so darn popular but because it means change within the relatively small communications department….the unknown of what is coming is always very scary! The choices that were made are exactly what is needed to move the center into its next phase… My emotions have been all over the place – 29+ years of my life and my family’s life – I am honored to be the most senior person in the sheriff’s office…wait…did I just say that. It’s upward and onward for the sheriff’s office. I know it won’t be long until someone is telling a Nina story…OMG…one time we had a dispatcher who said……………
Until next time…..
Congratulations, Nina, for your 29 years of service, connecting people in dire need to the help they needed. You made an
awesome contribution to the community!

I’m sure they’re already telling Nina stories. Its very strange I’m sure. After so long, mixed feelings about leaving.
