The cure for sleeplessness and anxiety?

A year or so ago I shared my experience with acupuncture.  It helped but did not heal my shoulder pain and it did help me relax and relieve some anxiety.  I seem to be a lucky girl and have the ability to shut off and meditate  once I’m relaxed…I just have difficulty stopping my daily life and making an effort to get there…similar to wanting to shop but not wanting to drive to the mall.  I’m working on the discipline.

Yesterday, I went for foot reflexology.  This may seem like a strange thing to do because of my dislike of feet in general.  Just like all holistic cures that have no science to back them up, I don’t listen to the naysayers negativity.  If it works for me, then it works for me.  I have no idea if it heals or helps with organ issues internally but IT DOES SOMETHING!

Similar to deep tissue message, it doesn’t always feel good at the moment…and in the next moment it feels great.  When I got home, he asked me if I was feeling drugged because he noticed it in my eyes.  My anxiety level was zero, I felt peaceful and relaxed all day.  Fell asleep watching TV at 8:30, crawled into bed at 9 and slept straight through until 7AM.  MY normal is getting sleepy at 1 am, reading in bed until 2 am and rising the next morning between 9 and 10.

For you sleep impaired friends…just do it…try it.  You may not get the same results as I did but I think it is worth your time to try it.

Until next time….
