…and it was a very good day. I stepped on the scales this morning and I’m down 4 pounds since Monday – I know – that is too fast to lose weight but it is coming off because I’m eating right and I’ve been exercising….AND…I’m not thinking of dieting..I’m just not constantly thinking about food. I was in a hurry to pickup Jaxon this morning so I ate carrots while walking out the door and I took a bag with me because I knew I was going to need them. We did some shopping and I walked from Kohls to Target and back again pushing him in a stroller – this isn’t miles – but its a pretty significant stroll. I will admit that when we got home, I could tell my blood sugar was low. So while fixing us lunch, we both ate some yogurt, honey and blueberries. I fixed some hamburger and quinoa with tomato sauce and I was FULL! I helped out at the auction house tonight and I did feel a little shaky when I got home so ate the rest of the hamburger and quinoa. I had 10,710 steps on the Fit Bit. But the best part is I’m not thinking about food. Time will tell.
I posted the pic of Jax in the high chair 1) because Benny was so funny…totally focused on Jaxon eating and 2) The wear marks on the foot rest of the high chair were first made by me…then by Jenny…then by Katy and now Jaxon. I’ll bet my folks never dreamed that it would be used by 3 generations when they bought it back in the 50’s!
I bought the Monopoly Board Game today. I’m 58 years old and have never played Monopoly…When he and I have some down time, I’m going to find out what all of the hoopla is about.
Bought a push lawn mower at the auction tonight and a rocking chair for Jenny and a ton of revere copper pans, etc. I kind of forgot that I didn’t have the truck so had to call Justin and Jenny to come pickup the rocking chair…then Jenny came back and picked up the lawn mower, hauled it home and unloaded it for me…bitching the whole time..but she did it. Also bought a “darling” rocking horse for Jax. I have to pick it up tomorrow. I certainly hope it fits in the back of the juke or there could be tension.
Until next time…
Thank you…that initial success gets me going…I’m pretty determined to keep walking…I plan to hoof it all over Italy so need to get a good start!

Good for you Nina! It’s always nice when you see an immediate result from changes you are making. Over 10K on the FitBit is fantastic! That’s a busy day.
The rocking horse is so cute!
