What has happened to me?

I used to go barefoot all year…I have been known to step outside and actually step into the snow without shoes…Most of my life, I wouldn’t be caught dead in a hat or cap or anything knitted on my head…I also didn’t like scarves unless they were the right color or fashionable and gloves or mittens..only if it was below zero and I was going to touch the snow…doesn’t the cold steering wheel bother you – uh no.  It could be 64 degrees in the house and I would be wearing shorts and a t shirt with no shoes on and certainly no socks…no matter what – no socks.

I presently have on two shirts and a sweatshirt, sweatpants and OMG…I just went to the bedroom and put a pair of socks on.   I fear real gloves and nylon 4 corner scarves with cute little reindeer and bedroom slippers…. H E L P    M E

Until next time….

  1. Help You??? Are you kidding? That’s not possible at this point. There’s only one choice. You’re getting old and you have to prepare for the inevitable…that’s right…you know…being old. Look at it this way. It’s the last thing you have to do before the other thing. Now wrap your shawl around yourself and tell those kids to get the heck out of your yard. Crank up the thermostat to 85 and have a cup of tea.

  2. @tracy – but I will have one of those chiffon scarves tied under my chin to keep my hair from getting mussed 🙂

  3. It is called being okay with yourself. It is a good thing. You can still be stylish but you are getting to the point where things don’t matter as much you are more comfy with who you are and if it feels good – why the heck not???Enjoy!

  4. I love slippers. I know that someday I am going to be one of those people in the grocery store in slippers. It’ll start with a pair of slippers that look a lot like a pair of shoes but eventually it will be a pair of pink dirty fuzzy slippers. You on the other hand are so together that you’ll probably be in the nursing home with your hair done & cool glasses.  I just know it.
