Happiness gently landed on my shoulders

I went back to work tonight – Wed into Thursday.  Am not feeling bad…do sound like I feel bad…

I’m a little frustrated with Xanga…I updated my xanga premium but I have to send them all of the info I updated with because I still have ads on my site.  They said they would take of it immediately once I forwarded the information.  I really should just shut up but I feel a rant coming on…you know, it is no wonder the general public has no faith in retail, government employees and just generally have a bad attitude.  I’m a little jaded because in my job, I usually have to either deal with testy people or people with a real problem who are testy…so it’s not like comparing apples and apples…but do you go in some stores or some government office and they are snippy and treat you like … well, use your own euphemism…you know what I mean…what is up with that… is there no quality control…do they not have supervisors with large maracas to tell them that is not the way to treat people….were they raised by wolves….it may be hard for ya’ll to believe that every now and then I just get downright bitchy…I’m either irritated or more generally sick of the crap – but I try to at least fake it on the phone…that’s not to say that sometimes someone “who doesn’t deserve it” may get a little vocal irritation but I reallly try to keep it in check…and the thing that really gets me – these previously mentioned people are people who are just downright snotty with everyone…I’ve stood in line and heard a clerk who desperately needed an attitude adjustment with every single person in line.  I one time tracked a manager down to report an arrogant little punk male teenager…it was all I could do not to jump across the counter and rip his tonsils out with a hanger…anyway..what do you do, xanga friends – when you encounter a disrespectful public servant or clerk?

Until next time….

  1. Sometimes I lose it, other times I ignore it.  Depends on my mood and the circumstance.  Just a few weeks ago Dominos Pizza took huge advantage of my son and he paid the $34.00 for a take out order they delivered to him while W and I were out.  $34!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   I called them when I got home, read them the riot act in a big way – the Mgr was going on about how a driver needs to earn $$ and I went ape sh*t abou them taking full advantage of a kid home alone who’s not really well versed in such things and how $34.00 should feed a FAMILY not one singular order of sh*tty bread sticks wings and a soda!  I was spitting nails I was so mad.  I woke up the next morning and the cash tip plus a gift certificate for 2 large 3 topping pizzas was in my front too.  Hmmmm.  My friend calls it “going department store” when I go off like that.  I guess maybe I have a reputation sometimes.  I cannot deal – during PMS especially – w/snotty crappy service.  Probably why I like to be a hermit.  No one gets hurt.

  4. Hello Ms Nina!  I hope you are feeling better.  For me it has a lot to do with my mood.  Sometimes I can be very tolerant.  Other times I will very politely ask them if I have done something to offend them.  Most of the time I don’t bother, I just try to be myself and hope for the best.
