Happiness gently landed on my shoulders

Sometimes you just gotta laugh

For those of you who have made it thru my mother rants – thank you – here comes another one.  I have pretty much removed myself from my mother’s daily life.  She lives next door so I’m not far away if anything happens….happens, huh…like I was going over several times a week because there was something wrong with her remote…nothing wrong with the remote.  As I am sure is pretty common for older folks, when she wakes up from a nap, she is totally disoriented and usually thinks she is about to die.  There have been many late night calls because she is sooo sick…I’ve found that if I give her a few minutes, she will call back realizing that there is nothing wrong with her.  This just happened with the most recent ambulance call – she wouldn’t respond to Aunt Frances (who has moved back to her life in Des Moines) so Aunt Frances called an ambulance for her and she refused to even let them touch her…..so….

Mid day on Friday, she called to let me know she thought she had pneumonia…I told her that I was sleeping and had to go to work tonight and she should call the doctor to make an appointment…she was worried about getting out with our weather and I said…if you get bad enough mom we can always call an ambulance to get you. The way it was returned to me today, I said I can’t help you mom, I have plans you’ll have to call an ambulance.  This narcissistic woman also told her everyother day caretaker (who is the daughter of one of my best friends) that Nina doesn’t care about me she just wants to put me out to pasture.

Meanwhile back at the looney bin, I called her Saturday to see if I needed to take her to the ER for her pneumonia…she said…oh, no…I’m just fine…..

Sometimes you just have to laugh……

Until next time…..

We set up a intercom so she could call for her needs and Mercy did she use it , Have to laugh to keep from crying that was for sureHave a Happy Holiday
