Happiness gently landed on my shoulders

Struggling

Struggling here without sunshine…with only having about 2 hours of daylight in my day and unfortunately it is in the morning after working all night…it’s my own fault.  I’ve been reading in bed in the morning – then I sleep until 5 or 6pm.  Actually I got caught up in the “Lighthouse Keeper’s Wife”.  I love lighthouses and have always been curious about the life of the lighthouse keeper back in the “olden days”.  This is a fascinating book written by Connie who was in her ’90’s in 1999…life was terrifically difficult but she and her hubby were madly in love and willing to sacrifice for these lighthouse projects.  It’s not riveting but if you love lighthouses and are curious, you can probably pick one up for a few pennies at a book trader or 2nd hand book store.

On an up note – he and I compete when doing wii fit.  I knew I was competing and found out he was too.  I kicked his oss this morning doing the ski jump.   Oh ya..whose your mama…

My friend, Jeff, the ghog over on blogspot emailed me this morning to tell me he saw an old friend of ours yesterday and to let me know that our friend, Brent, has started chemo.  He thru in a couple of family details…and ended it.  Just a tease.  It drives me crazy.  How can he just give me a teensy weensy bit of info and then that is it.  He has to know…I think he likes to keep me just on the edge…never pushes me over..but pretty darn close.  I have a bunch of Asimov books I”m going to give him – perhaps I should rip out the last few chapters just to keep him guessing.  (NO…I wouldn’t really do that).

Monday night is my last night before 3 days off.  I hope to get some shopping done…Karen, Deb and I are going to scrapbook on Thursday…so I do have something to look forward to.

Until next time….

  4. Once we change over to regular time from Daylight savings it seems that all there is to do is stay in bed.  Even my pug does not want to get up for breakfast.  The hound however wakes cheerfully no matter what.

  6. The lack of daylight and being out in it is the worst!  Hope your 3 days off help get your head back on straight.  Wii fit sounds interesting.  I might even be able to coerce the big man into that.  Will have to ponder Wii things.

  8. We haven’t had much sun here the last couple of days.  I imagine it must be hard to find sun in the few daylight hours that you are awake.  I hope you get some sun today.A scrapbook party sounds fun.I hope you have a good day/night!
