He and I made jokes while traveling in Missouri – especially southern Missouri – because judging by the number of McCain/Palin signs vs Obama Biden signs – we were in the wrong place. He actually laughed and said we probably should remove the round Obama/Biden magnet from the tail gate so as not to tick anyone off. Not a word or glance was made in our direction…..not until we got home and visited our local Hy Vee Food store in Newton tonight. As we were walking out carrying our groceries, we noticed a middle aged blond woman standing beside our truck and wondered what she was up to. As we got closer, she moved on to the veh parked in front of ours…as we unlocked the car doors she walked back and approached me and asked me if I was a christian. When I responded in the affirmative, she glazed over and told me I needed to go to a web site – something about Obama and the bible – I really need to go to that site because the things on the web site are horrible – they actually brought her to tears this morning when she found it.. I talked quickly as we were getting in the veh with a few yaws and uh huh…she walked away and got into her truck and left. This idiotic boldness is what turns people off about christians and this apparently quite active conservative right wing. I do not believe everything I read on the internet and know about propaganda and politics…I’m guessing if she continues to approach people in parking lots in this way, she’s gonna get bopped!!!!

The terrible thing is that McCain’s campaign tactics are just what was used against Jesus. Not to mention that McCain cheated on his first wife, swears and is quick to anger– Biblical nonos. But since the Bible is very hard to read the people need to depend on their pastors who will tell them anything.

I don’t understand Christians like that they give a bad name to a lot. it is your right to vote the way you want and not to be attacked cause of the way you vote , I am for McCain but I understand that you have a brain and a right to vote with whom you want. See Ya at The Polls

Idiotic boldness indeed!! I have an inbox full of “Obama is the Anti-Christ!!” and other such nonsense, forwarded a million times over from obliviots passionate about some “cause” that they don’t even understand (“well, this email says so, it must be true! I better send this to everyone I know in an effort to save America!!”)…. I hate election years. Kinda hope she does get bopped! 🙂

I can’t stand that. An election such as this brings out all the loonies. That out and out “boldness” if that’s what you want to call it is EXACTLY what turns people off. It’s not like anyone is going to say “oh – wow – you’re SO right! why didn’t I think of that before?!”
