Happiness gently landed on my shoulders

Count down

This year is the first year we haven’t taken a vacation sometime in the usual summer months.  We decided to plan for September for many reasons – including cooler temps and kids back in school so not as busy…then we decided to go camping in Montana.  Probably wouldn’t have to worry about the warm temps or the busy season.  We leave next Monday – we are going to take the pop-up camper – we will probably get a motel room every now and then too.  My biggest concerns are:

Bears

Coming around the mountain followed by a pop-up camper

No showers in some of the campgrounds

my bum knee.

Have been doing lots of internet reading – I’m ready to go!

I now have a one track mind.

Until next time…..

  1. I wish you guys wouldn’t go, but kids will be kids. What can you do.I’m telling you, the Ohio national parks are beautiful, and there aren’t any scary mountains, and there is always something to do.Seriously, Montana doesn’t have ANYTHING to offer but emptyness.

  2. yay! take tons of pictures!  Don’t use those bear bells and pepper spray.  My brother in law – who is a minister and mountain rescue guy in MT says the bear bells are “dinner bells” and the pepper spray just adds seasoning.  hahahahahaha.  Enjoy yourselves!
