I’m just kind of flabbergasted at McCain’s choice for veep. I agree with Hillary…No Way, No How, No McCain. The only thing good that I can feel about Palin is that she is a non-washington-ite. It certainly has been good fodder for the folks on CNN today π
I worked a 6p to 2a shift tonight for Kim. I’m still on midnight schedule, so after watching Swingtown (which is getting the boot, damnit) and Friday’s Young and Restless, I decided to go on an internet search of something. I settled on Another World..the soap opera from the 60/70/80’s. I started watching it in 1964…I was young…I think that may have been when it started?? I hated to go to school during the school year because I missed many months of it. During the summer, it is what my dad and I did from 2:00 to 2:30 before he left for work at 2:30…He loved Rachel π After Another World, I believe it was “You Don’t Say” and then at 3 the Matchgame…anyone else tripping down memory lane here.
I actually have the holiday weekend off. I don’t have to go back to work until Monday night at 2300. Hoping the weather is decent … “he” and I will celebrate our 29th anniversary on Monday…uh huh, I was a very young child bride π
Until next time…..
I remember Matchgame. I was never much for soaps. I don’t remember that other show you mentioned.Hope it is a good night for you.

wait one more thing about all of this ad campaigns we see on television…i would just ask that people do not souly determine their vote on what the media, the MEDIA, wants us to hear and to believe. Research the people out for yourself. They only put blurbs of what someone MIGHT have said…whether it be true or not π I’m too happy right now to think of this negative banter. I lvoe everyone, i should,ve been born early enought to be a hippy!

when I heard McCain’s choice I uttered the words…. you stink sob. think your gonna get my vote because i’m sitting on the fence because hilary isn’t there. then I thought about the two…. and hilary’s words.. no way no how no mccain. does mccain think we older woman voters will fall for such a low class approach to get a vote? then I looked on tv and they were replaying parts of obama’s speech from friday. I saw how a man, can unite the whites and blacks and make them hold their hands and shed tears of joy…. can’t be that all bad. my concern was obama didn’t have enough experience, it was never a race issue that seems to pop up when many can’t decided. As for McCain I do have a difficult time when he was asked how many houses he had and said he would have to get back with him on that…. Then I saw Obamas new ad on tv showing McCain hugging Bush and a caption “do we want four more years…..” no way, no how, no mccain. I then proceeded to the secretary of states office yesterday to check if I was registered. She said to do it again just to make sure. and the mighty words my father used to say “you don’t vote replician ever” sealed the deal with me. Funny how something my father said well over 35 years ago can effect me.
