Letterman and the Mannings

Last year after Peyton Manning and the Colts won the Super Bowl, I was so impressed with his performance on David Letterman.  He was articulate, humble and upon David’s prompting could have really “socked-it” to someone about the game (can’t remember who now)…but he didn’t…he showed totally the great guy I think he is.

Tonight Eli was on Letterman.  For you non-footballers – Eli was the MVP of the Super Bowl – the quarterback for the winning New York Giants.  Not quite as social and articulate as his brother, although he showed his good breeding when David went off about Patriot’s coach, Bill Bellacek walking out before the game was over….Eli had a perfectly logical reason…because Bellacek wanted to beat the traffic….that was great.  Eli…we know the real reason but thanks for being such a great roll model.

  1. Kudos to both of the Manning’s boys.  I know their Mom and Dad are so proud of them not to mention the coaches, fellow players and all the Giants fans.  You are right… very good role models.
