Lennie Rae used to call her piggy…her name was Peggy…I met them when I was 4 years old and new to the neighborhood…I vaguely remember “fishing” at the bottom of the hill where our property met Lennie Rae’s property…I was by myself and these girls came over and asked me if I wanted to play…and the rest is history. We used to play Barbies at Peggy’s house – she was 4 years older and had an awesome basement – we were allowed to set up all of our barbie houses on the pool table and I was totally in love with the set up. Lennie and I have crossed paths many times in our lives – we sort of lost contact in high school when we started driving – we had different friends which I always blame the school system for putting us in different kindergarten classes – I know, I know..let it go. 2 years in a row, Lennie and her family and “he” and I ran into them in almost the exact same place at the Iowa State Fair…plus Lennie and I ran into each other twice at Kohls in the shoe department. We connected on Facebook and recently she got “piggy” on and she and I have now connected…I received an awesome email from Peggy today telling me what she had been doing for the past 37 years. I will do the same in the near future….I’m feeling very nostalgic tonight….
Alayna bought this solid fragrance jar to work and everytime I smell it, it reminds me of Wave Set or some type of hair product that was used on my when I was small….that got Kim and I talking about Toni Home Perms and then we both got on the internet and checked out old colognes…I remember getting a 3 pack of Faberge cologns for Christmas…I remembered Tigress but in the set was also woodhue – probably my fav) and Aprodesia…you can order this from a company for like $70 a piece. Love to have them but memories are much cheaper.
Other things we found tonight were Dana Ambush and Tabu and who remembers dippity dew..
