He and I made jokes while traveling in Missouri – especially southern Missouri – because judging by the number of McCain/Palin signs vs Obama Biden signs – we were in the wrong place.  He actually laughed and said we probably should remove the round Obama/Biden magnet from the tail gate so as not to tick anyone off.  Not a word or glance was made in our direction…..not until we got home and visited our local Hy Vee Food store in Newton tonight.  As we were walking out carrying our groceries, we noticed a middle aged blond woman standing beside our truck and wondered what she was up to.  As we got closer, she moved on to the veh parked in front of ours…as we unlocked the car doors she walked back and approached me and asked me if I was a christian.  When I responded in the affirmative, she glazed over and told me I needed to go to a web site – something about Obama and the bible – I really need to go to that site because the things on the web site are horrible – they actually brought her to tears this morning when she found it.. I talked quickly as we were getting in the veh with a few yaws and uh huh…she walked away and got into her truck and left.  This idiotic boldness is what turns people off about christians and this apparently quite active conservative right wing.  I do not believe everything I read on the internet and know about propaganda and politics…I’m guessing if she continues to approach people in parking lots in this way, she’s gonna get bopped!!!!
