Kate made it home just fine…it’s like she hasn’t been gone at all.. Stopped in to pick up “his” prescription tonight and an early 20 something clerk made a joke and I couldn’t tell if it was a 20 year old to 20 year old joke or a 20 year old to what she thought was a teenager still in high school joke.  While we were walking out of the store, I was watching her and couldn’t figure out if she looked almost 21 or like she was in high school…I can only see her as Katy…wierd step back into my motherhood psychy.

“His” foot surgery went well…his tendon was snipped and she popped off a heel spur…he’s on vicodin and very happy.  He and Katy are watching a Harry Potter movie..I”m guessing he will have no recollection….

I work MY first midnight tonight – that sounds so nice.  My midnight for as long as I want them…whew…been a long time coming.

I’ll check in tomorrow….we’ll see if I’m as excited an optimistic after being up all night 🙂
